Whole30 Steak Fries
I love french fries, but the traditional deep fried McDonald’s are off limits! Don’t worry; I have the perfect substitute of Whole30 Steak Fries. Whole30 Steak Fries are baked instead of deep fried which decreases the unhealthy value. You can reproduce this recipe wit any root vegetable such as carrots, beets, parsnips or sweet potatoes.
Unfortunately, there are some vices that a girl can’t kick such as Ranch and Ketchup with my fries. Don’t worry; we have Whole30 approved versions of each. Whole30 Steak Fries Ingredients
- 5 russet potatoes, cut into thin wedges
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme, eyeball it
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, eyeball it
- 1 tablespoon steak seasoning blend, such as Montreal Steak Seasoning or, salt and pepper
Directions for Whole30 Steak Fries
- Preheat oven to high to 425.
- Cut potatoes and spread out on a cookie sheet.
- Coat potatoes with extra-virgin olive oil, dried herbs and steak seasoning or, salt and pepper.
- Spread potatoes to the corners of the cookie sheet.
- Cook potatoes in very hot oven 25 minutes.
- Turn potatoes once, half way through the cooking process.
- Serve fries hot from the oven.
