Tissue Paper Tassel Garland
Truly amazing parties have a touch of homemade to make them unique! Creating your tissue paper tassel garland is an easy way to class up any party. By making your tissue paper tassel garland, you can create any color combo, length or designs you need for your perfect party.
For today’s tissue paper tassel garland, I will be selecting colors from an upcoming adult tea party. The colors are gold, teal and a pale pink to accompany a playful banner of tea party prints.
Tissue Paper Tassel Garland Materials:
- 1/2 sheet of 20″ x 20″ or 20″ x 24″ tissue paper or mylar per tassel
- Scissors
- Ribbon or cord
How to make Tissue Paper Tassel Garland:
- Fold a piece of tissue paper in half and in half the other way. Cut strips towards the fold to create fringe, leaving about 1 inch uncut at the fold line.
- Once all strips are cut, unfold the tissue and cut in half, so you have 2 sheets with fringe (to make 2 tassels)
- Separate the sheets and begin rolling tightly down the middle crease. Continue rolling, fold in half and then twist to create a loop for hanging.
- Keep making tassels until the desired number is reached for your preferred length.
- String tassels on ribbon or cord
- Hang your new garland and enjoy!
