Palm Pavilion

Palm Pavilion offers a free sunset with every dinner…get it. 🙂 Palm Pavilion is the perfect place if you want a beach bum feel-no shoes, no problem type of restaurant. It is just steps from the beach with one of the best spots to watch the sunset. The slogan,”There’s no place like this place anywhere near this place so this must be THE PLACE“, captures the feel of Palm Pavilion and can be found on all printed items from shirts to cups. You see a good amount of branded attire down here as everyone wants to remember the vacation of a lifetime.

During peak season, you can always find a band playing in the corner. Last night, Palm Pavilion had a local band that played beach classics such as Jimmy Buffet. From our condo, you can hear the music playing, and it was calling our name! After a few too many mojitos on the balcony, beach and pool, we decided it was best to walk somewhere. Lucky for us, Palm Pavilion is close. It is only three blocks away from where we are staying.

We strolled down the beach and put in our name for a table. We figured we would watch the sunset from outside of Palm Pavilion anticipating a long line and then grab a bit to eat. We were oh so wrong, we put our name in, snapped away for a photo or two and it was time to be seated. I would even dare to say we had the best table in the joint. It was right on the railing next to a cluster of palm trees that gives a classic Florida feel.  All we were missing was you! I even left you a chair at our table – see the green chair to the left. It was all for you!

Since you couldn’t make it, dinner had to go on without you. We tried two varieties of shrimp – blackened shrimp and coconut shrimp. Both were delicious.  To end our meal, we had key lime pie.  I am determined to recreate this meal. It didn’t seem that difficult but check back next week to see if I was able to master the meal.
