The Story Behind The Photo

This photo was taken at Klondike Park in St. Charles County on Nicki’s birthday. Nicki likes to take her birthday off of work, and always seems to convince me to do the same. This year, Nicki, our friend Jaclyn and myself headed out to Augusta, Missouri for an afternoon at the wineries. We spent our afternoon sitting in the sun and sipping wine on the patio at Montelle Winery. To be honest, perhaps a little too much wine for Nicki and way too much sun for Jaclyn and myself.

After the winery, we stopped by Klondike Park for one of the most scenic views in the St. Louis area. The overlook can be accessed by hiking up the paved pathway near the Curt Loupe Conference Center. The entire park is beautiful, but this area provides amazing backdrops for photos – including this one.
