The Story Behind The Photo

This beautiful view is a reminder for me to stay positive and look for the beauty in every situation.

While headed up this gravel road to a winery in Tuscany, the van we were riding in began to struggle. Soon the van lost traction and stalled. Unable to get moving again, our driver tried rolling backward down the hill to a less steep portion of the hill. We all exited the van to make it lighter and after a small collision with a pole and a few minutes of pushing, we had the van moving up the hill again. The van made it to the top of the hill and we began hiking up after it.

Along the way, we were greeted with stunning views like this one. Had the van made it to the top without any issues, we would have missed the opportunity to take this photo.
